Superintendent Engineer - Technomar Shipping Inc.

Technomar Shipping Inc. is seeking a dedicated Superintendent Engineer to join our Technical department. As a Superintendent Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the overall maintenance and operation of our vessels.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the technical operations of assigned vessels, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.

• Lead and manage the engineering team, providing technical direction, coaching, and performance evaluations.

• Liaise with shore-based teams regarding repairs, parts procurement, and technical support needs.

• Manage budgets for spare parts, lubricants, and other engineering supplies.

• Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and procedures, fostering a safe working environment for the crew.

• Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on vessel performance, maintenance activities, and budget expenditures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or a closely related field
  

• Previous experience working at sea in progressively responsible engineering roles, with a track record as Chief Engineer
  

• Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of vessel operation, maintenance and repair, preferably for Container Vessels

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in relevant software and technical tools

• Proficiency in written and spoken English
