Williams Civil Construction is hiring a Civil Superintendent to lead field operations and bring civil construction projects to life. You’ll work alongside project teams and field crews to keep projects safe, on schedule, within budget, and built to the highest standards. Whether overseeing one jobsite or multiple crews, you’ll play a key role in building Montana and delivering successful projects.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Field Operations: Direct daily field activities, coordinate crews, Foremen, subcontractors, equipment, and materials, and keep work moving efficiently across assigned jobsites.
  • Plan for Success: Review project plans, specifications, budgets, and schedules; support preconstruction planning; and develop work plans that align manpower, equipment, materials, and production goals.
  • Drive Safety and Quality: Set the standard for safe work practices, partner with Safety, oversee quality control, and ensure work meets project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Own Production and Performance: Monitor labor, quantities, costs, and schedules; identify challenges early; and implement solutions to keep projects on track and within budget.
  • Build Teams and Relationships: Coach and develop field employees while collaborating with Project Managers, Operations, owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to solve problems and deliver results. Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate progress, changes, and field needs.

What You Bring:

  • Civil Construction Experience: A construction-related degree or equivalent field experience, with a background in earthwork, underground utilities, structural concrete, grading, and aggregate placement preferred.
  • Field Leadership: Experience leading crews or projects, coordinating resources, and keeping field operations organized, productive, and accountable.
  • Technical Know-How: Ability to read plans and specifications, understand project schedules and budgets, evaluate production, and make sound field decisions. Familiarity with construction equipment and GPS or machine control is a plus.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and work through challenges with crews, project teams, and customers.
