About the Role

Reporting to Mining Equipment Maintenance Manager, you will work closely with the team to coordinate and oversee the maintenance of ancillary mining equipment to achieve exceptional performance in safety, culture, cost and machine reliability.

The role is based at Jimblebar on a 5/2/4/3/9/5/4/3 fly in fly out roster from Perth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Engage, develop and coach your team whilst ensuring an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment and sustainable development
  • Oversee compliance with legislation, safety systems, maintenance standards and procedures
  • Deliver the weekly asset management plan to meet Maintenance and Production targets
  • Achieve cost, productivity and equipment performance outcomes
  • Ensure contractor compliance with site standards, maintenance procedures, and statutory obligations
  • Promote a continuous improvement mindset and delivering improvement initiatives
  • Utilise the BHP Operating System to ensure customer needs are met, with a frontline team engaged in problem solving

About You

Your demonstrated ability support and develop large teams and foster a positive workplace culture will be critical to success in this role.

  • Trade or Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership roles of large teams or ready for the next step in your career
  • Visible safety leader who develops and coaches your team
  • Motivated, engaged and supportive people leader
  • Strong engagement, influencing and collaboration skills to achieve the high-level outcomes with your team
  • Proven ability to manage and control budgets effectively
  • Continuous improvement mindset
