The Construction Superintendent, is accountable for the progress and successful completion of mutli-family construction sites on time, under budget, and in accordance with project drawings, specifications and other contractual agreements.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute pre-job plan
Determine construction techniques to be used to construct the project
Oversee quality control of all construction
Conduct weekly staff meetings and production meetings
Maintain project schedule creating a 2-3 week look ahead
Develop a recovery schedule
Appropriately allocate manpower and resources
Manage all vendors and subcontractors on a daily and weekly basis. Identifying and resolving problems as they arise
Maintain a clean and orderly job site
Track and manage subcontractor project scopes proactively identifying potential issues
Other duties as directed by management
Requirements
Physical Requirements:
Frequent bending stooping and reaching in all directions.
Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding.
Will be working in outdoor conditions exposed to the elements.
Will be walking on uneven ground in a construction zone.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 75lbs.
Qualifications:
Education:
Degree in Construction Management or other related field preferred, or equivalent on the job experience.
Experience: 5 years’ minimum commercial or multi-family superintendent experience
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage diverse personalities
