
The SUN Meals Program Associate is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious summer meals to eligible children, while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This role requires following state and local food safety protocols, operating kitchen equipment, and working closely with supervisors to ensure the success of the program.
Positions Details;
Essential Functions:
· Prepare, wash, peel, cut, and package food items
· Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and work areas
· Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
· Assist with food storage and inventory management
· Record food temperatures and maintain accurate records
· Operate minor kitchen equipment
· Report equipment issues and low supplies to supervisors
Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
· Experience in food services (preferred)
· ServSafe training provided
