The Digital Power programme is Fortum’s strategic initiative to modernize our Finance operations. We’re moving towards standardized, automated, and data-driven processes and ways of working, enabling smarter collaboration and decision-making throughout the company. At the core of this transformation is the implementation of a next-generation ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, powered by SAP. It will empower our people with better tools, real-time data, and more meaningful work.

About the role

As a Summer Trainee, you’ll join the Digital Power programme team, working specifically within the Record-to-Report stream. This stream is focused on creating a seamless, automated solutions that enables our finance professionals to manage financial, reporting and controlling related activities efficiently. You’ll support the team in day-to-day tasks, gaining hands-on experience in project work, financial activities, and digital process transformation.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the implementation of a new finance ERP solution (SAP) for Record-to-Report processes
  • Assisting with process documentation, testing, and user support
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive end-to-end automation
  • Participating in workshops and meetings, contributing your ideas and insights
  • Helping to ensure data quality and smooth change management

  • Interested in accounting, controlling and reporting, project management, and digital transformation
  • Pursuing a degree in business, economics, technology, or a related field
  • Fluent in written and spoken English (our working language)
  • Familiar with MS Office tools; experience with SAP is a plus
  • Curious, proactive, and ready to contribute to a dynamic team
