Summer Program Counselor - Movies In the Park

Posting Expires: Open Until Filled

Salary: $17.50/hourly

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive to and from Transportation Hub to various parks around the City of Atlanta.
  • Assist with set up and break down movie screen and audio equipment.
  • Work closely with Parks Managers and coordinators to ensure that movie showings are professionally implemented.
  • Assist with evaluating movie sites and ensure that locations are safe and feasible.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain mobile unit vehicle. Keep inventory of equipment and update citywide and borough coordinator on repairs needed of vehicle.
  • Ensure that promotional materials are distributed to each movie site 2 weeks prior to movie screening.

REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or GED and either;

Three summer seasons or 1 year of experience as instructor, counselor or coach in an organized recreation program OR;

Completion of 30 credits towards a degree from an accredited college; OR

Satisfactory equivalent of education and experience as described above “1”.

Valid Georgia Driver’s License.

PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working with a variety of audio/visual equipment including but not limited to, video conferencing units, LCDs, laptop computers, and amplification systems.

Ability to lift heavy objects.

Experience working with public in a community setting.

Valid Georgia state driver’s license.

Ability to work nights and weekends.
