The Lifeguard is responsible to assist in overseeing aquatics safety, assist in providing aquatics orientation and evaluation, understand emergency procedures and participate in activities. Pay for Summer Employment is based on the current Student Wage Guidelines, with hourly rates of $16.00, $16.25 and $16.50 available.
ESSENTIALRESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Assist in supervising all students and staff in aquatics area and activities; assist in overseeing aquatic safety.
Assist with swimming assessments on all swimmers.
Ensure understanding of all aquatic emergency procedures.
Assist in the timely completion of all necessary records and reports.
Other duties as assigned by Aquatics Director.
Ensure compliance with all pertinent regulations and College operating standards.
Assist with required pool testing, cleaning, and maintenance.
Must be at least 16 years of age
Must possess current certifications for Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid through approved courses.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted
