Are you passionate about Digital & AI technologies and change management? Are you looking for an impactful internship driving modern workplace transformation?

Airbus is looking for a Summer Intern - Digital/AI Transformation to join our Aftermarket Customer Services department based in Herndon, VA.

In this role, you will work closely with the management team, digital team, and technical teams to drive changes in work styles and operational processes, especially in the Digital & AI realm.

Position Summary:

Change Communication and Stakeholder Alignment:

  • Draft and send change communications, including workshop invitations, event emails, and progress updates. Plan, coordinate logistics for, and facilitate engagement workshops and change management events.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather user feedback, assess adoption rates of AI and digital tools, and support continuous improvement of change activities.

Strategy Support:

  • Serve as a strategic thinking partner in planning change management initiatives and aligning with key stakeholders. Design and refine high-impact presentation slides and visuals for leadership and team alignments.

Tech & Digital Team Liaison:

  • Manage active communications between the change management function, the digital team, and the tech team. Leverage a strong background in Computer Science and AI to bridge technical concepts with business strategies, ensuring strong alignment with digital products development.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support ad-hoc departmental tasks and continuous improvement activities

Position Requirements:

  • Preference for candidates located in the NoVA/DC metro area
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
  • Coursework or minor in Business Administration, Organizational Change, Communications, or Technology Strategy preferred
  • Demonstrated academic or project experience in Computer Science and AI; experience in organizing events, workshops, or creating structured presentations. Must have demonstrated ability to work with Scrum and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) for digital products development.
  • Exposure to change management principles, stakeholder engagement, or corporate digital transformation initiatives.
  • Introductory certification/coursework in Change Management, Agile/Scrum, or Project Management preferred
  • Strong foundation in AI concepts and Computer Science fundamentals; excellent organizational and event planning skills; ability to communicate technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences; proven ability to work with Scrum and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) for digital products development.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory with French, German language skills a plus
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets) or Microsoft Office; working knowledge of modern AI tools and software engineering principles.
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, Trello, Asana) and collaboration software preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in-office/onsite
  • Vision: Adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions
  • Hearing: Able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals
  • Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification
  • Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment
  • Carrying/Lifting: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs
  • Sitting: Able to sit for extended periods of time at a computer and in meetings

Pay Range:

Hourly range based on the required profile: $24 - $39.75/hour. Rate determined by type of degree program and year in school (Bachelors through Masters). Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on geographic differential. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors. This position offers the following benefits: Employee Assistance Program, Paid time off including paid holidays.
