Job Description

Hydro Aluminium Metal is a leading supplier of extrusion ingots, sheet ingots, foundry alloys, wire rods, and high-purtiy aliminium, with a global production network of around 6,000 employees. With primary metal production facilities in Europe, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Qatar, and recycling facilities throughout Europe and the U.S., two thirds of our primary aluminium production is based on renewable energy.

Logistics projects, looks at a wide range of logistics projects and improvements. We support the whole supply chain of Hydro, from inbound raw materials for our smelters in Norway all the way to our end customers in Europe. We support vessel transport, train and truck deliveries, with safety as number one priority.

The team is based across both Karmøy and Oslo, offering opportunities to collaborate with colleagues at both locations and visit the Karmøy plant.

You will also get to participate in a joint program with all the Hydro summer interns, allowing you to learn more about our business and acquire interdisciplinary knowledge. All the while, we expect and want you to have a fun experience during the summer.

What you will be doing

In projects, it is essential to have a structure in a hectic environment. Therefore, it is important to us to have a framework that guides us in our processes. Your role as a summer intern will be to help us get even better at that. Additionally, you may have the possibility to support us in one of our bigger projects and the equipment flow.

What will make you successful?

  • Master study in Economics, Logistics, Project Management or a related field.
  • A structured and independent way of working.
  • Strong proficiency in IT systems and digital tools.
