Volkswagen Group of America’s 10 – week Summer Internship Program targets undergraduate students entering their Junior or Senior years who are eager to acquire practical, real-world experience in the automotive industry. This program is designed for high potential, highly mobile, and self-starter candidates with a strong interest in the automotive industry. Program Information:

  • 10-week Summer Internship Start Date (non-negotiable): June 1, 2026
  • Program Duration: June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026

The Supply Chain Intern will support the team responsible for managing the end-to-end process of ordering and distributing new vehicles—from factory ordering to dealership delivery. This role focuses on optimizing vehicle flow, ensuring production efficiency, cost control, and timely delivery while mitigating risks from potential disruptions.

Possible Tasks within this Role

Role Responsibilities

  • Assist in tracking inventory levels for finished vehicles.
  • Help manage purchase orders and communicate with the logistics team to resolve issues.
  • Support data analysis and reporting to improve supply chain efficiency and track performance.
  • Contribute to projects focused on process improvement and cost optimization within the supply chain.

Qualification requirements

Qualifications

  • A rising college Junior, Senior or recent graduate
  • Strong GPA
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong preference for Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Transportation, Industrial Engineering or Business Administration and related majors

Skills

  • Microsoft skills, analytical and logical thinking and problem solving.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP systems like SAP is a plus.
