Commercial Operations Summer Associate

The Commercial Operations Summer Associate is a full-time summer internship supporting proposal development, process documentation and improvement, and sales and marketing reporting activities. The role works collaboratively with Commercial Operations, Sales, Engineering, and Operations teams while managing multiple priorities under the guidance of a supervisor or mentor. The position also leads efforts, collaborates with leadership, and provides strategic oversight to ensure efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
  • Support proposal development activities for sales and marketing teams, including pricing, approvals, and proposal preparation.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives such as market research, competitive analysis, forecasting, and process documentation.
  • Prepare sales and marketing reports and coordinate with internal teams to ensure data accuracy and timely follow-up.
  • Support preparation for presentations, customer meetings, shop tours, and internal reviews.
  • Participate in process improvement efforts and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program with a focus on Engineering or Business.
  • Available to work full-time from May through August for the summer internship period.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, electronic mail required. Familiarity with Power BI and CRM systems preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet short deadlines in a team-oriented environment.
