Job Description

Summer Care Team Member – Make a Difference & Make Great Memories!

Looking for a summer job that’s more meaningful than scooping ice cream or running a cash register? Join the Woodlands Senior Living team and spend your summer building connections, learning new skills, and making a difference in the lives of Central Maine seniors. Whether you’re a college student home for the summer or a high school student (16+) with your CNA, we have flexible, supportive roles that fit your schedule — and we’d love to welcome you back during school breaks and holidays.

What You’ll Do:

You’ll be part of a team that helps residents live with comfort, dignity, and joy. Depending on your certification and location, you may:

  • Assist residents with daily activities and personal care
  • Help serve meals and support dining experiences
  • Engage residents in conversation, activities, and companionship
  • Support the care team with light tasks that keep the community running smoothly
  • Bring positive energy, kindness, and a willingness to learn

No two days are the same — and you’ll leave each shift knowing you made someone’s day brighter.

Who This Is Perfect For:

  • College students looking for meaningful summer work
  • High school students (16+) with CNA certification
  • Students 18+ interested in direct care roles
  • Anyone who wants a job that feels good and builds real-world skills
  • Future nurses, social workers, healthcare professionals, or anyone exploring a people-centered career

Why Students Love Working Here:

  • Supportive team environment
  • Work that actually matters
  • Build experience for healthcare, social services, or human services careers
  • Paid training for eligible roles
  • Opportunities to grow into CRMA roles
  • A workplace where residents and staff truly feel like family

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Age 18+, or 16+ with active CNA certification
  • Ability to work scheduled shifts reliably throughout the summer
  • Willingness to learn and follow resident care routines
  • Kindness, patience, and a genuine interest in helping older adults
  • Ability to work respectfully as part of a team
  • Ability to lift, move, or support residents with team assistance (training provided)

Nice to Have (Not Required!)

  • CNA, PSS, or CRMA certification
  • Previous experience in caregiving, customer service, or volunteer roles
  • Interest in healthcare, nursing, social work, or human services
