Job Description

Camp is calling. This isn't just a summer job, it's a mission.

Spend your summer at the center of camp life. As a Retail Associate, you'll rotate between the Camp Store and Acorns Canteen, handle camper mail, and be one of the friendly faces campers and families count on all week.

If you're looking for something that actually matters, not just a paycheck, this is it.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver friendly, knowledgeable service to campers and families
  • Operate the POS system and manage camper account transactions
  • Handle cash, including opening, closing, and reconciling drawers
  • Organize and restock merchandise
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Lead Saturday Mega Store setup with staff
  • Attend camp-wide and departmental meetings
  • Support Rec and Ministry events, primarily in the evenings

What You Get

  • $7.25/hour + housing and meals included
  • Live on-site with a built-in community
  • Retail, POS, and cash handling experience that transfers to any future job
  • Customer service experience that stands out on a resume
  • A summer that impacts lives, including your own

Important Role Details

  • This is a live-in, residential role
  • Requires active participation in a Christian ministry environment

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • A professing Christian with a personal faith
  • Able to run a cash drawer and make change accurately
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive, friendly, helpful attitude with every guest
  • Trustworthy and detail-oriented with money and camper accounts
  • Knowledge of Square preferred
  • Willingness to be fully engaged in a live-in summer camp environment

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand for extended periods
  • Able to carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds up and down stairs

Summer Schedule

  • Staff Training: June 1 – June 12
  • Camp Sessions: June 13 – August 7

Why This Role Matters

You'll be the face kids are excited to see. Canteen is the best hour of a camper's afternoon, and you're the one scooping the ice cream, remembering their order, and asking how their week is going.

That's a summer worth having.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age or older
  • Employment is contingent on background and reference checks
