About the Opportunity

The YMCA of the North Shore is hiring energetic, reliable, and enthusiastic Camp Counselors for Summer 2026 at our Marblehead locations. Choose your summer adventure:

🌊 Children’s Island (Marblehead)

Spend your summer on a one-of-a-kind island in Marblehead Harbor—complete with a daily ferry ride on the Hannah Glover! This rustic ocean oasis offers swimming, sailing, wakeboarding, kayaking, environmental science with our Island Rangers program, arts & crafts, gaga pit, and more.

🏕️ Marblehead YMCA Day Camp

Support a dynamic day camp program by leading gymnastics, sports, swimming, and engaging group activities that create lasting memories for campers.

What You’ll Do

As a Camp Counselor, you will:

  • Lead games, activities, and outdoor adventures

  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for campers

  • Support youth development through teamwork, creativity, and fun

Qualifications

If you are looking to expand your resume and develop leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, this may be the summer job opportunity for you!

  • Camp Counselors must be a minimum of 16 years of age
  • Preferred work schedule is Monday-Friday (5 days) throughout the camp season, 8am-5pm
  • Must have reliable transportation to ensure the ability to commute to and arrive at camp on time daily
  • Mandatory Spring training will be required - save the date of May 16th, 2025
