Job Description

Ensure that the event venue is prepared to receive the public; greet, assist and provide for the safety of patrons; assist performing artists as needed; and enforce all house policies.

This is considered a part-time, hourly, non-benefits eligible position. The minimum starting rate for the position is 14.95 per hour.

Core Responsibilities:

• Arrive on time and report to the House Manager.
• Assist with pre-show tasks such as printing programs, setting up chairs, and completing the crowd management pre-show safety checklist.
• Accept tickets or hand out programs to patrons at the door.
• Show patrons to their seats.
• Enforce House policies.
• Be available to assist patrons with questions regarding venue resources and program details.
• At end of performance, clear venue of programs and other items left behind and assist house manager and/or performing artist as needed.
• Complete event report forms after each performance.

Requirements

• Understanding of performance etiquette preferred.
• Crowd Management certification required.
• Must be able to understand and speak English clearly and articulately.
• Must be 100% reliable, courteous, and assertive.
• Interest or experience in music, dance, or theatre a plus.
• Able to work independently.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

This position requires working outdoors in the summer; lifting, carrying, and setting up folding chairs and music stands; and walking the grounds to assist patrons.
