Job Summary

Versova’s Summer 2027 Internship Program provides students with meaningful, hands-on experience while introducing them to career opportunities across the agriculture and food production industry. Interns will work alongside experienced team members, contribute to real business needs, and gain exposure to Versova’s operations, people, and culture.

Internship opportunities may be available across a variety of areas, including production and operations, animal science, feed mill operations, processing, maintenance, engineering, food safety and quality, supply chain, and other business functions.

This posting serves as a general application for Summer 2027 internship opportunities. Specific internship assignments, departments, locations, projects, and responsibilities will be determined based on business needs and candidate interests and qualifications.

Essential Job Functions

  • Participate in a structured internship experience designed to provide meaningful, hands-on learning and professional development.
  • Support day-to-day activities and projects within the assigned department or operation.
  • Work alongside Versova employees and leaders to gain practical knowledge of the assigned area of the business.
  • Contribute to projects and responsibilities that support departmental and organizational goals.
  • Gain exposure to Versova’s operations and the egg production lifecycle.
  • Participate in internship program activities, meetings, training, and development opportunities.
  • Build professional skills through practical experience, feedback, collaboration, and mentorship.
  • Communicate effectively with managers, team members, fellow interns, and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate initiative, accountability, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.
  • Follow all company, site, safety, food safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity policies applicable to the assigned location and role.
  • Promote a culture consistent with Versova’s Guiding Principles and Core Values.
  • Complete assigned internship projects, presentations, or other program deliverables as applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college, university, technical school, or other relevant postsecondary education program.
  • Interest in gaining hands-on professional experience within agriculture, food production, operations, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable, organized, accountable, and willing to take initiative.
  • Ability to learn quickly, ask questions, and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to meet the requirements of the assigned internship location and work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework or field of study related to agriculture, animal science, poultry science, engineering, maintenance, food science, food safety, business, supply chain, or another area relevant to Versova’s operations.
  • Previous internship, work, agricultural, leadership, or extracurricular experience.
  • Interest in pursuing a career within agriculture, food production, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, teamwork, or project experience.

Work Environment

The work environment will vary based on internship assignment and location. Interns may work in office, farm, production, processing, feed mill, maintenance, or other operational environments.

Depending on the assignment, the position may require standing or walking for extended periods, exposure to agricultural or production environments, use of personal protective equipment, and compliance with site-specific safety and biosecurity requirements. Specific physical and work environment requirements will be communicated based on the internship assignment.

Internship Program

Versova’s Summer 2027 Internship Program is designed to provide students with a structured experience that combines hands-on learning, meaningful work, professional development, and exposure to career opportunities within the organization.

Interns will have opportunities to learn from Versova employees and leaders, connect with other interns, receive ongoing support and feedback, and better understand how their work contributes to the larger organization.
