
Responsible for providing event and office support to the University Events department in University Relations
The ideal Seton Hall student should be flexible to work a different schedule every week and be prepared to work during events without conflicting with their academic responsibilities. The student may be asked to provide support during events in the evening and weekends. The student will gain
hands-on experience in planning and executing events. The student will work under the supervision of the director of University Events and work closely with vendors and clients -
Public Relations & Marketing office support as needed
Daily Responsibilities:
* Research for new ideas and trends, menu options, etc., using resources such as, magazines, internet and books
* Follow-up on outstanding invoices
*Update past event files and create budget summaries
* Handle email food requests, including meetings, breakfasts, luncheons, etc.
* Create signage
* Confirm reservations
* Create binders/folders for events
* Assist in post-event evaluation
On-Site Event Support Responsibility
* Decorating
* Set-up
* Greet guests
* Registration
* Usher
* Troubleshoot
* Organize staff responsibilities
Applicant must be a matriculating Seton Hall University undergraduate or graduate student. A positive and "can-do" attitude - Excellent planning, coordinating and organizational skills - Strong interpersonal skills with effective and written communication skills - Some evenings and weekend availability preferred
Must be enrolled in a matriculated program and registered at least half-time for Fall 2026
Familiarity with department/office procedures and knowledge of specific software programs as needed
12 - 15 hours per week, maximum 20 hours per week
