We are currently searching for a motivated individual to join our Terrain Park team later this coming winter as a Terrain Park snowcat operator. The focus of a park cat operator is the nightly maintenance of our parks and construction or installation of park features.

At Sugarloaf we pride ourselves on offering the best parks possible from opening to closing day. This position is key for keeping our network of terrain parks safe, fun, and exciting for our guests.

This winter season role comes with great job perks and is expected to start at an hourly wage between $18 - 25 per hour depending upon previous experience.


Responsibilities

  • Safe operation of grooming equipment
  • Completion of all pre-op and post op procedures
  • Completion of park grooming logs and updating build maps
  • Park specific trail maintenance; i.e. filling in ruts and holes, regrading takeoffs, etc.
  • Grooming of space between park features
  • Communicate with hand crew about any issues from the previous day, or if anything needs extra attention in the morning
  • Assist with and/or complete overnight building
  • Able to take written direction and accomplish goals independently with little to no supervision
  • Work together as a team with both grooming and other departments


Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of a high school degree and be at least 18 years of age
  • Strong skier/snowboarder with some park riding experience preferred
  • Previous terrain park grooming experience or snowcat experience is necessary, but exceptions may be made for those who can demonstrate exceptional knowledge in other aspects of terrain park operations in their application
  • Must be available nights, weekends, and some holidays
  • Must be a positive team player
  • Attention to detail and the drive to try and make our parks "photo-shoot ready" every day.
