Line Cooks are responsible for preparing and executing menu items according to recipe standards with consistency, speed, and quality. They maintain a clean and organized station, assist with prep, and ensure all food meets safety and sanitation guidelines in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items to recipe specifications and presentation standards
Set up and stock the workstation with necessary supplies before each shift
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the station and kitchen areas
Communicate with the kitchen team to ensure proper timing and ticket flow
Assist with prep, storage, and rotation of ingredients and supplies
Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
Support teammates and contribute to a positive, efficient kitchen environment
QualificationsRequirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience as a line cook in a high-volume restaurant preferred
Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards
Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a hot environment
Attention to detail, consistency, and pride in food quality
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
