Substitutes are trained and provided insight on The Oaks' teaching techniques and curriculum. This ensures that when they are called to support a classroom during the teacher’s absence, they feel comfortable and prepared.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructional plans in absence of regular teachers
• Model and teach habits that help students grow in wisdom, compassion, and Christ-like maturity
• Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment to help students develop a lifelong love of learning
• Ensure students thrive as they develop strong relationships with God, others, ideas, and the world
• Know and love each student to promote their continued growth and development
• Facilitate student engagement with ideas and develop principled, critical thinking

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and teaching experience preferre
• Devout Christian who is a member of, associated with, or seeking to be associated with, a Christ-centered community of faith or a church
