Substitute Teacher (Full-Time, Early Childhood Education)
Location: The Learning Experience – Bristow, VA
Pay: $17–$20 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Bristow is seeking an experienced and flexible Substitute Teacher to support classrooms across our center. This role is ideal for a strong early childhood educator who can step into different classrooms and maintain a consistent, high-quality learning environment.

As a Substitute Teacher, you will work with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, providing coverage and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Step into classrooms as needed to provide coverage and maintain ratios
  
  
• Lead or support classrooms in a safe, structured, and engaging environment
  
  
• Implement activities aligned with the L.E.A.P. curriculum
  
  
• Maintain consistent routines including meals, transitions, and rest time
  
  
• Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs
  
  
• Communicate effectively with team members and families as needed
  
  
• Ensure compliance with Virginia childcare licensing and safety standards
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
  
  
• Minimum 1 year of lead teacher experience required
  
  
• Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers preferred
  
  
• Strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices
  
  
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and age groups
  
  
• Must meet Virginia childcare licensing and background requirements
