PRIMARY FUNCTION(S): In the absence of the regular classroom teacher, provides meaningful instruction in order to help students learn subject matter and/or skills for scheduled lessons. Maintains a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth. Establishes effective rapport with students and manages classroom effectively.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Classroom: Implements the instructional plans left by the classroom teacher. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and objectives. Maintains a neat and orderly classroom. Records notes/observations for classroom teacher.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required. Teacher licensure preferred.

Compensation: The daily rate forsubstitute teacher is $130.
