POSITION:

• Substitute Speech Pathologist

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Licensure: State of Ohio Speech-Language Pathologist License/Certificate.
• Technical Skills: Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Forms).
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504 and MTSS frameworks.
• Strong communication, motivation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Excellent leadership, organization, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
• Demonstrated professionalism and teamwork in a school environment.
• Adhere to Licensure Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators.
• Must pass required criminal background checks and drug screening.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide diagnosis and appraisal of specific speech and/or language disabilities, including language disabilities, articulation disabilities, disorders of speech and voice associated with organic abnormalities, fluency disabilities, and voice disabilities.
• Serves in a diagnostic and consultative capacity to the evaluation team, contributing pertinent speech, language and hearing data gathered through formal assessment and/or observation.
• Serves as a consultant to classroom teachers.
• Provides counseling and guidance to parents and students regarding speech and language disabilities.
• Provides appropriate speech and language services for students.
• Develops positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and administration.
• Collaborate with appropriate community agencies, resources and facilities.
• Maintains all records and makes all reports as required.
• Adhere to district policies on ethics, conduct, and confidentiality.
• Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
• Demonstrate professionalism and the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and the administration.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Building Principal or Superintendent.

SALARY:

• $120.00 per day
