
TITLE OF VACANCY: Substitute Registered Nurse
POSITION TYPE: Professional
ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT: TheWest Virginia Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (WVSDB)
LOCATION: Romney, West Virginia
On an on call, as needed basis, provides comprehensive services of assessment, promotion, and maintenance of health for students enrolled at the WVSDB campus. The services are directed toward prevention of illness, health promotion, rehabilitation and continuity of care, health counseling and education, and care in acute illness and primary health care.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Will adhere to WVBE Policy 5902 – "Employee Code of Conduct" and the applicable WVSDB personnel policies for employee performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c and/or §18A-3-10, as appropriate.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to reach, stand, walk, lift, grasp, write, talk, hear, see, use technology such as computer and multimedia equipment, and use repetitive motions. Alcohol and controlled substances which affect employee productivity, safety, or judgement will not be tolerated.

SALARY:
Hourly rate of pay based on WVSDB Professional Salary Schedule, contingent on degree level and applicable years of experience. Supplemental Pay for on-call coverage applicable.
EVALUATION
Performance evaluation in accordance with West Virginia Board of Education Policy 5310.
