Job Description

Classified Substitute Rate: $12 per hour effective January 1, 2026

• Enrolled in the State Employee Retirement System (SERS)
• Substitutes may accept or decline assignments without prejudice

Substitute Paraprofessionals Basic Assignments

• Assist Teachers in Special Education Resource Rooms
• Monitor Lunch and Recess
• Assist with Students Start and Dismissal
• Provide Office Support

Requirements: (Documents must be on file before starting)

1. Current favorable BCII (State) and FBI (Federal) background checks
2. Rapback Enrollment
3. Ohio Educational Aide Permit with ESEA endorsement preferred
4. Negative drug screen

Employees must follow all board policies, all state, and federal laws, and adhere to the Ohio Code of Ethics set up by the Ohio Department of Education. Subject to all applicable laws, essential job functions of this position include the employee being punctual and capable of completing all of the duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

The successful candidate must complete all required compliance training as assigned.
