Job Description

POSITION: Substitute LPN

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Ability to type as well as the ability to communi­cate, read, write, make basic calculations, and follow written and oral instructions
  3. Meet the general health requirements of instruc­tional personnel and has the ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs.
  4. General understanding of the objectives of the instructional program
  5. Ability to communicate with adults, accept supervi­sion, and be compatible to working with children
  6. Must possess a valid West Virginia License as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Pass state competency exam for instructional aide

REPORTS TO:

  1. School Principal
  2. Supervising Teacher
  3. School nurse assigned to school

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. To perform job-related duties as assigned to accommodate the individual need of students

2. To assist feeding, medical needs, and personal hygiene to accomodate the individual needs of students.
