ECFE Classroom Assistants Substitutes
Buffalo � Hanover � Montrose Schools is currently accepting applications for Classroom Assistants for our Community Education Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program.

We are seeking dependable substitutes who are interested in working in ECFE preschool classes on an on-call basis. After your application has been reviewed by the ECFE Coordinator, you will be contacted with the next steps in the process to getting on our sub list. Before working as a Sub, you will need to complete a background check and attend an orientation.

Position: Substitute ECFE Classroom Assistants
Location: Community Education - All ECFE Sites
Rate of Pay: $18.00/hour (paid twice/month), this is not a benefit eligible position
Beginning: As Agreed Upon

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist preschool teacher by providing educational support.
  • Assessing, supervising, and guidance positive behavior.
  • Build positive relationships with children and parents.
  • Interacting with children to enhance and extend learning.
  • Assist teacher in preparation of classroom; including physical movement of equipment.
  • Support Special Education plans for children in class.
  • Follow school district policies and procedures.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working with young children in a preschool setting.
  • Knowledge of positive behavior guidance and child development.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and take direction from teachers.
  • Ability to multi-task and provide active, nurturing care
