ANNOUNCEMENT OF SERVICE VACANCY

POSITION: Day-to-Day Substitute Custodian/Maintenance

SCHEDULE: Day-to-day on a call out need basis only

QUALIFICATIONS: As per State and County Regulations

  1. Must be 18 years of age, or older
  2. Must be able and willing to work at all county owned locations
  3. Must provide transportation to and from work locations
  4. Must take and pass the State's written and performance competency test for custodians and for maintenance to be administered by the board of education
  5. Must pass a criminal background check
  6. Must be available to work different schedules that includes early morning, evening and, late night shift hours
  7. Must be physically and medically capable to perform any and all manual labor tasks
  8. Must maintain a courteous and professional demeanor
  9. Adhere to strong confidentiality standards at all times

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  1. This position will frequently require the employee to crawl, sit, stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, grasp, talk, hear, see and use repetitive motions.
  2. This position may require mowing, weed eating, painting, snow removal, trash removal, pushing dumpsters, etc.
  3. This position may require lifting/moving heavy materials.

TERM: Day-to-Day as Needed

SALARY: As provided in WV Code §18A-4-8 and §18A-4-8a
