SUPERVISOR Lead Custodian
Under immediate supervision and using established procedures and routines, provides cleaning, maintenance, grounds keeping and/or housekeeping service to ensure buildings are cleaned and properly maintained.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. The following duties are normal for this classification. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
A. Cleans restrooms and scours and sanitizes sinks, toilets and drinking fountains.
B. Sweeps, mops, power scrubs and waxes floors; vacuums and shampoos carpets, washes windows, sands and refinishes wood floors, washes walls, cleans blinds and blackboards.
C. Assembles, moves, dusts and polishes furniture. Sets up and tear downs tables and chairs.
D. Collects garbage and recyclable materials and places in appropriate containers.
E. Maintains building security. Locks and unlocks doors and windows.
F. Assists with fire drills
G. Removes snow and ice from building entrances, sidewalks, driveways, and play areas
WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Tasks may risk exposure to adverse environmental conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric currents and toxic/poisonous agents.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. First aid certification is preferred
3. CPR certification is preferred
4. Prior experience within an educational system or working with children preferred
5. Good organizational and communication skills and the ability to interact with the public
6.. Valid Minnesota Driver's License
7.. Must complete the necessary application process and pass a criminal background check and drug screening test
