About the Role:

The Substation Project Manager (Services Manager – Utility) will be the key driver of our Victorian projects involving energy integration, grid connections, and utility coordination. Working closely with both our dedicated Energy and Land and Site Delivery teams, this role will provide end-to-end services project management - supporting with feasibility assessments and reference design works, through to resolving technical issues, and keeping delivery works both compliant, and on schedule.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Onsite end-to-end services management of energy projects – advise throughout initiation, planning, and delivery phases
  • Coordinate with transmission and distribution network operators and general contractors, to ensure compliance with standards, planning, and sequence
  • Identify and understand energy LLE requirements, monitoring lead times, commercials, design pre-requisites, and readiness activities
  • Manage key deliverables through the project, ensuring engineering compliance, safety initiatives, commercial management, and delivery of authority power
  • Conduct reporting on progress, key milestones, risk analysis, and schedule updates
  • Coordinate with our Site Delivery team to ensure that energy project requirements are fully integrated with the base build requirements, and that concurrent activities can be delivered
  • Identify and act on opportunities to optimise delivery, timelines and innovation

About You:

Combining a deep understanding of large-scale energy integration projects with effective stakeholder management and prioritisation skills; the successful candidate will be driven by ensuring works are completed on time, within budget, and aligned to regulatory needs. In addition to oversight on complex infrastructure projects, you possess a naturally proactive nature, with the ability to drive outcomes to meet varying deadlines.

  • Demonstrable successful track record of delivering complex, large-scale energy projects (grid connection or utility-scale renewable projects preferred)
  • Confident communicator, with proven ability to build strong relationships and effectively drive outcomes across a broad portfolio of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, interconnection standards, and grid codes
  • Qualification within Electrical Power Engineering or Energy Systems, or equivalent experience

Essential:

Australian Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
