What You Need to Know

The Subsea Proposals Engineer will develop high-quality technical and commercial quotations as per customer enquiries in a timely and accurate manner. This role involves close collaboration with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement and the legal teams to ensure proposals are competitive, compliant and aligned with client requirements.

What We Are Looking For

• Interpret client Invitation to Tender (ITT) and/or Request for Quotation (RFQ) to define scope, deliverables and strategy.
• Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals in accordance with Proserv’s policies and procedures.
• Identify the bid requirements and confer with the team for additional technical resources required to support the complexity of each bid.
• Generate detailed material lists for all quotation line items which are to be supported by sub-supplier quotations where possible.
• Coordinate input from Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain to compile accurate cost estimates and schedules.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and differentiators to enhance proposal competitiveness.
• Ensure proposals comply with internal governance, client specifications, and industry standards.
• Liaise with the Legal team to minimize company exposure and risk on bids.
• Support pricing strategy and risk analysis in collaboration with Commercial and Finance teams.
• Develop detailed proposal schedules, timelines, plans, milestones and outlines. Manage the tender submission life cycle. Monitor documents to ensure accuracy prior to submittal.
• Follow up quotations in conjunction with the Sales department.
• Attend bid clarification meetings, both domestically and internationally, as required.
• Collaborate with the Proserv leadership and Sales teams throughout proposal duration, from opportunity identification and development of proposal strategy to proposal debrief.
• Provide the required reports for management with status details.
• Maintain proposal records, lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications / Skills & Experience

Education

• Engineering qualification in either mechanical, electrical, controls or energy subject.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent discipline from an accredited college/university preferred.
• Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.

Essential

• Proven track record within a control systems environment
• Proven track record of an industrial bidding process
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Interpersonal skills

Preferred

• Design and engineering of oil and gas production control systems
• Proven track record of a subsea engineering bidding process
• Working knowledge of API 17F and ISO standards
• Knowledge of subsea control systems, specifically hardware design.
