The Subrogation Claims Analyst supports the subrogation business development and communications efforts of the firm. Emphasis is on collecting, managing, and analyzing the firm’s collective subrogation intelligence on clients and prospects.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Field telephone calls from members and answer questions

• Return phone calls as necessary

• Populate and update company and member profiles

• Pull and format lists for subrogation mailings, daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly claims downloads

• Generate and send letters and questionnaires to determine potential subrogation

• Profile prospects and mine relationship data

• Provide direct support to Director and Subrogation Specialists in strategizing, coordinating, and implementing member correspondence

• Maintain member online case history, both in Socrates and internal client reports, as well as, maintaining a log of “letters sent” and a log of cases that are deemed non-subrogatable

• Create, maintain, and send daily reporting to clients regarding subrogation and release of claims information

• Open all subrogation mail, distribute as needed and analyze members’ questionnaires to determine subrogation matters

• Provide tactical support to the Subrogation Department, as required or assigned, ensuring responsive service and smooth and efficient workflow

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or other related discipline is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience required, and 4+ years’ experience preferred. Experience working with medical claims a plus.

Computer Skills Highly skilled with Microsoft Office Suite and Internet-savvy. Fluent in Excel.

Other Requirements Excellent written and oral communication skills (comprehension & expression). Requires initiative, responsiveness and a detail-oriented mindset. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate ability to efficiently organize and handle multiple projects and details simultaneously and follow through on projects and deliverables. Strong customer service skills that require tact, discretion and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with firm personnel, clients, vendors, and the public.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work environment is in a professional office setting. The majority of activity this role performs will be sedentary work.
