Join us in Shenzhen, where you’ll be part of a dynamic team driving data-driven manufacturing excellence across advanced surface finishing technologies. As a Process Data Science Intern dedicated to Anodizing industry, you will have the opportunity to study and contribute directly to the next generation of new color development for Apple products. You’ll collaborate closely with industry experts, color/finish engineers, and operations teams to bridge aesthetic design intent and mass production feasibility. Be part of something transformative — and help us make the world more amazing.

Description

In this role, you will assist in advancing surface finishing technology in Anodizing industry, through data analytics, statistical modeling, and predictive process engineering tailored for new color development. You will gain deep, practical exposure to Apple's new color development workflow—from lab-scale tinting trials to pilot line validation and ramp readiness. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to transform raw factory data-log into high-yield, robust color prediction solutions for iconic Apple products.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience handling messy industrial data, inline sensor telemetry, and developing automated data pipelines/visualizations (e.g., Tableau, Plotly, Streamlit).

Familiar with Linux operating environments and big data ecosystem components (e.g., Hadoop, Spark); strong data intuition and keen business acumen.

Prior internship or project experience in Anodizing, dyeing chemistry, color science or consumer hardware manufacturing.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above (full-time) in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related STEM disciplines.

Available for a full-time internship, 6~12 months.

Solid foundational knowledge in computer science and applied mathematics; proficient in at least one mainstream programming language (Python, Java, or C++) with strong engineering code quality.

Hands-on R&D experience in data analytics, data mining, or machine learning algorithm/model development.
