We are now looking for a Subeditor on the Feast app to join our team! This is a 12-month NUJ fixed-term contract or staff secondment. You will sub, produce and launch recipes to the Feast app.

This is a part time role, 3 days a week.

About the role

  • Subedit, produce and publish digital recipes
  • Work with the Feast commissioning editor and platform editor to create a schedule of new daily content
  • Select pictures and multimedia elements to create the best visual presentation for content
  • Bring articles to life visually by adding pictures and multimedia content

About you

  • Proven understanding of recipe formats, with digital subbing and production experience
  • Confidence in using web and app tools
  • Experience in creative visual presentation of content on digital platforms
  • Familiarity with Guardian food content, both recipes and cooks
  • Appreciation of Guardian history and values
  • Able to sub quickly and accurately under pressure

You'll have 30 days of annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) with the option to purchase an additional 5 days.
