Job Title: JD Edwards Functional Consultant – Germany VAT Specialist
Experience: 8–15+ years
Location: Germany (Onsite)

Seeking an experienced JD Edwards (E1) Functional Consultant with strong expertise in German VAT and European tax localization. The role involves leading VAT implementations, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting finance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Germany VAT implementation/enhancements in JD Edwards
• Map German VAT regulations to JDE functionalities
• Configure VAT setup (tax rules, tax areas, explanation codes)
• Support AP/AR tax processes and statutory reporting (incl. Intrastat)
• Conduct requirement gathering and stakeholder workshops
• Perform fit-gap analysis and solution design
• Drive testing phases (CRP, SIT, UAT) and stabilization
• Collaborate with technical teams for integrations/customizations
• Prepare FDD/BRD documentation and provide user training
• Support AMS, issue resolution, and enhancements
Mandatory Skills:
• Strong experience in JD Edwards Finance modules:
o General Ledger (GL)
o Accounts Payable (AP)
o Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Hands-on experience in VAT / tax configuration in JDE
• Expertise in European localization (Germany preferred)
• Solid understanding of German VAT and statutory reporting
• Experience in implementation/rollout/AMS engagements
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in Germany localization & Intrastat reporting
• Exposure to tax engines/localization tools
• Knowledge of O2C/P2P processes with tax impact
• Experience in multi-country Europe rollouts
Languages:
• German – Mandatory / Strongly Preferred
• English – Fluent
Soft Skills:
• Strong stakeholder management (Finance/Tax teams)
• Ability to work in global, cross-functional environments
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
