The Subcontract Manager position is a key senior member of the site-based subcontract team coordinating subcontract and service agreements through daily interface with subcontractors, service providers, owner representatives, field management team, project management team, and corporate support departments. The Subcontract Manager will possess a commercialcontractual proficiency along with experience in subcontract sourcing, field execution, commercial management, change management, safety, quality, and project controls. The individual should possess requisite leadership skills to motivate others, work with others, coordinate efforts and require a minimum amount of direction from project or executive management. This individual will demonstrate effective communication skills and participate in the selection, training, and development of subordinate staff.
Possesses prior subcontract leadership experience
Responsible for medium complex, medium risk, fabricate and install or EPC subcontracts
On medium to large size projects, responsible for the contract administration and field coordination duties
Motivated leader & a self -starter
Strong organizational & time management skills
Capable of managing 6 staff members
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Embody the Zachry culture
Develops Subcontracting Strategy and RFP Packages for medium complex subcontracts, directs the RFP efforts, makes recommendation for award and negotiates the contract.
Post-Award commercial management for the portfolio of complex services and subcontract Agreements assigned to self or team.
Oversee the execution of field subcontracts to ensure the work is within the scope and commercial requirements including the safe execution of work, ensuring quality goals are met while completing the work in a timely manner.
Analyzes project data in a cost-effective and schedule compliant way by determining if they meet the commercial requirements and project goals.
Manage cost to ensure adherence to project-specific budgets and forecasts
Accountable for the integrity of records management for all assigned Agreements and ensuring all documents are available and auditable.
Negotiate change orders and back charges for alignment with the commercial terms of the subcontract agreements.
Accountable to ensure appropriate approval authorities are obtained prior to executing commitments.
Responsible for the turnover and closeout of all contracts assigned to self or team.
Job Requirements:
Essential Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities (Include any training, licenses, and certifications):
Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
Minimum 10 years’ industrial construction subcontract management of +$100M and/or + 350 craft or subcontractors and prior experience in a supervisory position.

Physical Requirements:
Employee will be required to communicate in person, via telephone, email, video chat and software systems. Must be able to maneuver around a construction site with rough terrain. Climbing might be required. Must be able to lift 10 lbs. Position may include visits to construction sites and industrial facilities requiring mobility (on ground and at heights) and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hardhat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs/muffs, masks/respirators, safety vests, gloves and work boots.
Work Environment:
Employee will work in multiple environments including an office, warehouse and in a trailer or building on construction sites. On construction sites, noise levels will be moderate to high. Job sites may contain the following: light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools, people standing, walking, sitting, signaling, and talking. Noise levels vary and may include bells, whistles, and alarms.
