VIE Title: Subcontract Administrator – General Works
Location: Geoje (South Korea)
Duration: 18 months
Mobilization Date: October 1, 2026
Demobilization Date: March 31, 2028

Main Tasks:

As an assistant to the Construction Contracts Engineer and a member of the Technip Energies–JGC joint venture (TJJV) team, you will be assigned to the Coral Norte project site at Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in South Korea (in consortium with TJJV) for the entire duration of your VIE assignment. You will be responsible for the following activities:

• Understanding the commercial operation of Technip Energies’ Construction Contracts, and more specifically the contracts related to the CORAL NORTE project.
• Assisting the local manager with the following tasks:
  • Monitoring and responding to requests for additional works
  • Managing cost claims and/or Extension of Time claims from/to subcontractors
  • Monthly monitoring of subcontractor invoicing and payments
  • Weekly meetings with subcontractors
  • Preparation of the monthly construction contracts activity report
  • Preparation of contract amendments
  • Follow-up of correspondence related to Construction Contracts
  • Coordination with other project disciplines (Engineering, Construction, Procurement, etc.) to ensure and anticipate that subcontractors are able to perform their scope of work without disruption, thereby protecting the company’s interests against potential subcontractor claims.
• Involvement in site life: regular site visits and participation in HSE inspections.

Construction Contracts Department

• The Construction Contracts Department – reporting to the Construction Division – is responsible for awarding and administering construction subcontracting contracts for all Technip Energies project sites.
• The department’s main responsibilities include:
  • Defining subcontracting or partnership strategies for construction activities
  • Preparing construction bids with the support of Technip Energies’ various engineering disciplines
  • Issuing calls for tenders
  • Technical, commercial, and contractual clarifications with bidding companies
  • Awarding subcontracting contracts
  • Contract administration of subcontracting agreements, including the management of additional works and claims through to work completion and final contract close-out.

Candidate profile:

• Graduate of a general engineering school, eager to discover the on-site execution of a major offshore project within the LNG scope of activities.
• Rigorous, with a strong team spirit, able to take initiative and respond seriously and dynamically to business requirements.
• Interested in contractual and financial matters as well as commercial negotiations.
• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of managing issues in a thoughtful and effective manner.
• Comfortable working in multicultural environments.
• Motivated, resilient, and ready to commit to a challenging site-based assignment.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
