This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
As part of a hardworking team of professionals, specialists, and engineers, you will develop strategic procurement solutions and complete day to day tactical purchasing functions for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of supply chain operations, driving organizational and policy change to enhance Blue Origin’s bottom-line.
Our SCA III you will be responsible for managing a variety of contract terms and agreements including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Long-term Agreements (LTAs), Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and Purchase Orders (POs). You will manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Quote (RFQs), conduct price analyses in support of supplier proposals, and lead formal negotiations of all types. This role partners with functional teams and businesses across the Blue Origin Enterprise.
Key candidate attributes to facilitate success in this role include influencing, facilitation, organization, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise of propellant commodities, pressure vessels, cryogenic systems components, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Source, negotiate, and procure services across various categories
Manage the procurement process from requisition creation through final payment of invoices, and be accountable for resolving issues within this process
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing, specifically in Supply Chain Services Procurement
Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier identification, and evaluation
Experience sourcing and evaluating potential suppliers across multiple service categories
Conduct price analysis in support of supplier proposals and lead formal negotiations of all types
Review service procurement requests for compliance, implement contracts, and engage with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing, service, and terms while reducing costs and minimizing risk
Ensure professional and consistent supplier management, cultivating relationships across the supply base in alignment with internal policies
Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records for all agreement types
Identify cost-saving opportunities
Track and manage daily metrics
