Job Description

onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join the External Manufacturing Sourcing team, located in Zhubei, Taiwan Region.  As a Subcon Buyer, you will work primarily with the assigned Suppliers and Business Units products & Operations managers to secure our external manufacturing service needs. We operate in a fast paced dynamic environment that requires a matrix organization approach to managing people and processes.

Performance Objectives:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:

• Supplier management; Own commercial interface & Supplier negotiations with key subcon suppliers.
• Business unit support; Support commercial needs of business units for all BE Strategic Sourcing needs.
• Lead group wide sourcing operations activities to optimize all steps within the Procure-to-Pay process, maximizing the capabilities within onsemi sourcing systems.
• Be the focal point for integration between the Commercial Team and Sourcing Operations Teams to delivery best in class results.
• Monitor supplier performance & KPI’s including action plans in key Procurement pillars to include; driving  Value add/productivity, Delivery, Quality and Technology.
• Project management; Drive projects as both project leader and/or member supporting Strategic priorities of Growth, People and Execution.
• Promote onsemi values through actions and promote positive image of Procurement image with internal and external partners.
• Lead the strategic selection and commercial management of Foundries and other backend suppliers.
• Work with external manufacturing, production planning and GSCO Team Members to ensure quality reliable capacity is in place at competitive prices to support strategic goals.
• Positively influence onsemi business strategy with make/buy support and external source selection decisions.

Qualifications

Requirements :

• BS degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Business/Marketing from an accredited university is required.
• Must be willing to travel domestic and international up to 25%.
• Candidates with 5 + years of experience from the semiconductor industry with a focus on sourcing systems are preferred.
• Deep expertise in Sourcing Operations covering Procure-to-Pay scope along with deep system knowledge, preferably on Oracle based systems.
• Ability to handle significant multi-tasking requirements simultaneously and to prioritize on key actions.
• Action oriented with ability to deliver results that make significant progress on strategic initiatives.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or sometimes direction on specific what task needs to be accomplished.
• Ability to prepare and effectively communicate strategy with multi-functional business partners (Technology, Quality, MFG, Supply Chain Planning/Ops)
• Fluency (written and oral) in English required; additional language(s) would be an additional benefit.
