Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Sub-Merchant Boarding Specialist to support Payment Operations. This role will play a key part in advancing InvoiceCloud’s mission to drive digital transformation for clients and enhance customer engagement.

The ideal candidate operates as a proactive, trusted partner—capable of managing complex onboarding scenarios, collaborating across teams, and maintaining the high standards of professionalism and operational excellence that define InvoiceCloud’s culture.

Takes Ownership

  • Perform end-to-end onboarding for mid-tier MRR billers, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely execution
  • Support multi-entity and more complex configuration setups, managing dependencies and ensuring proper system alignment
  • Process price changes, configuration updates, and maintain accurate supporting documentation
  • Provide guidance to Sub-Merchant Boarding Specialist I team members on standard workflows and onboarding practices

Customer-Centric

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to resolve onboarding issues and ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Conduct research on boarding discrepancies, funding issues, or setup-related inquiries to support timely resolution
  • Ensure onboarding activities align with customer needs while maintaining compliance and operational standards

Results-Driven

  • Ensure ongoing adherence to compliance, operational standards, and audit requirements across all onboarding activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve onboarding accuracy and turnaround time through process improvements
  • Effectively leverage AI-driven tools to identify configuration risks, inconsistencies, or missing data and improve onboarding quality
  • Review and interpret AI-generated insights, identify false positives or limitations, and provide feedback on automation gaps or improvement opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in operations, payments, or financial services
  • 2–5 years of experience in onboarding, implementation, or operational roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of payment flows, banking configurations, and fee structures
  • Ability to make sound decisions within established policies and controls
