Job Description

*This position will be part time on weekends

Sandwich Artist/Cashier is expected to complete food preparations, serve customers, take and prepare food orders, operate the cash register, stock all products, and maintain the overall cleanliness of each area of the restaurant; including the table areas. This member of team is also responsible for explaining the sandwich-making process while creating subs from freshly baked breads, using the freshest ingredients in front of the customer to match his or her exact order.

• Accurately and efficiently complete sales transactions and lottery.
• Promote great team work and readiness to assist with team needs throughout shift.
• Take and prepare food orders in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensure the quality and quantity of food items packed or served.
• Greet customers and guest as they approach the service counter.
• Provide friendly and professional service to all guests.
• Correctly operate cash register to customize orders with proper product codes.
• Collect payment and issue correct change back to customers.
• Maintain a clean and polished appearance, wearing the designated uniform and name tag.
• Inform customers of regular deals or daily specials.
• Upsell products by providing add-on items at point of sale.
• Transfer supplies between storage areas and the kitchen.
• Ascertain that counters and work areas are kept clean at all times.
• Clean, stock, and restock workstations and sales floor.
• Sweep, mop, dust, remove trash inside and outside, clean and disinfect restrooms.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
