STYLIST

REPORTS TO: CREATIVE & STYLING MANAGER

STATUS: NON-EXEMPT

The Stylist will be responsible for the styling strategy and execution of all product photography and seasonal product looks. This role will work closely with the In-house production team, Photographers, and Item Setup Associates to ensure all images for bootbarn.com, sheplers.com, and digital and physical marketing materials for our retail stores meet brand standards. The ideal candidate is creative, organized and detail-oriented with experience styling in a high-volume retail environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Photo Shoots

  • Partner with the Creative Director and Creative Managers to execute their creative vision for each location shoot across all brand segments.
  • Work with Photographers to style sets, models, prepare and position product for shooting.
  • Source props and product for shoots as needed.
  • Style all location and e-commerce shoots and troubleshoot any challenges that arise on-set.
  • Prepare, steam and style two e-commerce shoots a week, ensuring that priority items are shot first.

Merchandising

  • Partner with Buying and Product Development (Private brands) to identify emerging fashion trends and style outfits for both in store and online merchandising
  • Collect all Marketing Samples from the Merchandise team and organizing by month.
  • Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising Team to assist with Special Event/Store floor sets.
  • Maintain communicative relationship with buying/merchandising team.
  • Partner and stay in communication with Sample Coordinator on incoming and outgoing vendor samples.

Brand and Product Marketing

  • Support company marketing efforts across print, website(s), social media, email and all other digital channels.
  • Stays knowledgeable of each brand segment and makes clear styling choices to distinguish each brand while still staying on trend.
  • Works with Art director and Social Media team to pull any product for needed to email or social flat lays.
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance.
  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management.
  • Adhere to all local, federal and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Retail experience preferred
  • Knowledge of trends and keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Positive personality and ability to give and receive constructive criticism, encourage teammates, and celebrate team successes
  • Must be able to lift and move boxes over 25 pounds
  • Quick learner and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to frequently travel up to 40%

PAY RANGE: $22.00 - $25.00 / hr*

*compensation varies based on geography, skills, experience, and tenure
