The Role
We are seeking an experienced Study Manager to support our Mining & Metals business in delivering front-end studies and due diligence projects. This role will provide project management and technical coordination across multi-disciplinary teams, working closely with both internal business units and external stakeholders.
You will play a key role in leading and delivering high-quality study outcomes, from early-stage scoping through to Pre-Feasibility and Definitive Feasibility Studies.
Lead and coordinate mining studies and due diligence projects (Scoping, PFS, DFS)
Manage and deliver peer reviews and independent assessments
Coordinate multi-disciplinary proposals for studies and due diligence assignments
Provide leadership to project teams to ensure quality, consistency and timely delivery
Oversee cost estimate reviews and financial model inputs
Manage study scheduling, budgets, and reporting requirements
Drive integration across key technical disciplines
About You
Background in Process Engineering (preferred) with exposure to mining study environments
Proven experience delivering front-end studies within mining or heavy industry
Strong ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive outcomes
Commercial awareness and ability to interpret project financials and cost models
Technical Capability
Working knowledge across major mining disciplines to enable effective technical integration
Familiarity with JORC, NI 43-101 and S-K 1300 reporting standards
Understanding of study phase requirements and toll-gate processes
Experience with AUSIMM and AACE cost estimation frameworks
Exposure to;
Commodity markets and off-take arrangements
Cost and commodity benchmarking
Basic financial modelling and project valuation
