Oxford Summer Courses

About Oxford Summer Courses

Oxford Summer Courses was established in 2010 by a network of Oxford alumni and educators. We remain determined to share the magic of an Oxford education, the university and city, with the wider world. We are an independent company and not part of the University of Oxford, however, Oxford is at the heart of everything we do: it shapes what, where, and how we teach.

We run a summer school which has welcomed over 11,000 students aged 9-24 to Oxford, Cambridge, and Eton from 100+ countries since 2017. Students can choose from a wide variety of academic subjects.

Our goal is to share our experiences of Oxford, an exciting academic adventure, with the world. Alongside our courses in Oxford, we also run a charity (Universify Education) which provides free access courses to students from disadvantaged backgrounds in the UK.

Our teaching is interactive and creative, and promotes a growth mindset approach. We teach in small classes, using projects to build students’ research skills and taking lessons outside the classroom environment where possible. Above all, we value tutor autonomy. Oxford Summer Courses has a growing academic faculty made up of students, academics, researchers and alumni of the University of Oxford, and many other top higher education institutions. Our expert tutors and highly-trained, enthusiastic pastoral staff are a vital part of what we do and how we shape our students' experiences.
