We're looking for an inspiring leader to build exceptional instructor teams, elevate programming, and create unforgettable member experiences across multiple clubs. As the Regional Manager, Studio Fitness you'll combine your passion for people, fitness, coaching, and operational excellence to develop talent, launch innovative programming, and ensure every class reflects The Edge Fitness Clubs' commitment to delivering the Best. What you’ll do:

Build & Develop a Best-in-Class Instructor Team

As the Studio Fitness Regional Manager, you'll cultivate a high-performing instructor community that delivers exceptional member experiences while developing the next generation of fitness leaders.

Talent Acquisition & Development

  • Recruit, audition, interview, hire, and onboard exceptional Studio Fitness talent.
  • Build and maintain an active instructor pipeline to support current and future club growth.
  • Identify emerging talent and develop future mentors, trainers, and presenters within the organization.

Instructor Growth & Excellence

  • Coach, mentor, and inspire instructors through meaningful feedback, career development, and performance coaching.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, recognition, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate regional workshops, continuing education, and instructor development opportunities.
  • Conduct class observations and quality audits that elevate coaching, consistency, and the overall member experience.

Club Partnership

  • Partner with General Managers and Area Directors to identify opportunities, solve challenges, and continually raise the standard of programming and execution.
  • Serve as the Studio Fitness expert and trusted partner for your region, supporting both instructors and club leadership.

Operational Leadership & Business Excellence

You'll be the driving force behind the daily success of Studio Fitness in your region, ensuring operational excellence, consistent execution, and an exceptional member experience.

  • Build and optimize instructor schedules that support business needs and member demand.
  • Coordinate instructor substitutions to ensure every class is staffed with qualified instructors and delivered to company standards.
  • Execute schedule updates and instructor assignments.
  • Communicate instructor additions, departures, and staffing updates with clubs, HR, Payroll, and key business partners.

Operations & Administration

  • Partner with HR and Payroll to ensure a seamless hiring, onboarding, and payroll experience.
  • Maintain accurate instructor records, schedules, payroll information, and operational data.
  • Manage Studio Fitness payroll budgets while supporting fiscal responsibility.
  • Maintain timely communication with instructors through NetGym and other company communication platforms.

Member Experience & Operational Excellence

  • Champion a consistent, best-in-class Studio Fitness experience across every club.
  • Partner with club leadership to improve attendance, member engagement, and retention.
  • Address member concerns with professionalism and a solutions-first mindset.

What Success Looks Like...

  • Clubs are fully staffed with a healthy pipeline of instructor talent.
  • Members consistently rave about the quality of our classes and instructors.
  • Instructors feel engaged, supported, recognized, and inspired to grow.
  • Strong partnerships exist with General Managers, Area Directors, and regional leadership.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a passionate leader who loves developing people, building communities, and delivering exceptional fitness experiences.

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Business, Sports Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent leadership experience will also be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Group Fitness or Studio Fitness instruction experience.
  • Current Group Fitness and/or Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification required.
  • Hold at least two nationally recognized specialty certifications (e.g., Les Mills, Indoor Cycling, Yoga, Pilates, Barre, HIIT, or similar formats).
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or the ability to obtain prior to employment).
  • Strong understanding of group fitness operations, programming, and instructor development.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, influence others, and collaborate effectively with club leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage multiple clubs simultaneously.
  • Comfortable using scheduling, payroll, and business management systems (DataTrak, NetGym, Microsoft Office, and other business platforms).
  • Passion for delivering an exceptional member experience and building a positive, inclusive team culture.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, field-based environment.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

As a field-based leadership role, this position requires frequent movement throughout health club environments. Responsibilities include standing, walking, demonstrating fitness movements, bending, reaching, lifting, climbing stairs, and occasionally kneeling, crouching, or balancing while supporting instructors and evaluating classes.

The ability to demonstrate proper exercise technique and movement patterns is preferred. This position regularly requires lifting and moving fitness equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance when appropriate.

Visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are necessary to effectively evaluate classes, support instructors, and ensure operational excellence.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, exempt, field-based leadership position supporting multiple clubs within an assigned region.

Success in this role requires a strong presence in the clubs. Regional Managers are expected to spend the majority of their time in the field, partnering with club leadership, coaching instructors, conducting class evaluations, supporting launches, and ensuring consistent execution of The Edge Studio Fitness standards.

This position requires a flexible schedule based on business needs and includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays. Regional Managers are expected to provide leadership support in their clubs throughout the month, to ensure visibility, coach instructors, and support the member experience.

As a leader within Studio Fitness, Regional Managers are encouraged to remain connected to the member experience by teaching up to five Studio Fitness classes per week (separately compensated). Teaching is encouraged but should never interfere with leadership responsibilities.

This role operates in a fast-paced health club environment and requires frequent interaction with club leadership, instructors, members, vendors, and corporate partners. Daily use of computers, mobile devices, and business software is expected.

Travel

Frequent travel throughout the assigned region is required.

Occasional overnight travel may be required for leadership meetings, instructor trainings, workshops, new club openings, company events, conferences, and other strategic initiatives.

A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel independently are required.

Position Type & Expected Hours

This is a full-time, exempt leadership position.

While the typical workweek is Monday through Friday, this role requires flexibility to meet the needs of the business. Early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays are expected to support instructor development, club operations, special events, and new program launches.
