Job Description

Role Purpose

Serve as the operational owner of the Film Studio’s physical assets, ensuring soundstages, workshops, backlots, offices, utilities, and supporting infrastructure remain safe, functional, compliant, and production-ready. The role is responsible for facilities oversight, asset performance tracking, vendor coordination, maintenance planning, and operational readiness across activation and steady-state studio operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all studio facilities, soundstages, workshops, backlots, offices, support spaces, and infrastructure remain operational and production-ready.
  • Oversee preventive and reactive maintenance activities, including MEP services, utilities, cleaning, waste management, and general site upkeep.
  • Manage facilities contractors, technical service providers, and specialist vendors against agreed SLAs, scope, quality, and response standards.
  • Maintain asset registers, maintenance schedules, condition reports, lifecycle plans, and performance dashboards.
  • Coordinate facilities readiness requirements for productions, tenants, workshops, events, and temporary installations.
  • Translate production and tenant requirements into facilities, utilities, logistics, site access, and operational readiness plans.
  • Support development-to-operations handover, commissioning close-out, defects tracking, and asset acceptance activities.
  • Monitor asset condition, equipment performance, service disruptions, and recurring maintenance issues.
  • Coordinate with HSE to ensure facilities operations comply with safety requirements and statutory obligations.
  • Coordinate with Security, IT, Finance, Procurement, and Corporate Enablement teams on operational dependencies and service continuity.
  • Support budget planning, maintenance cost tracking, asset lifecycle assumptions, and facilities-related procurement requirements.
  • Implement operating procedures, readiness checklists, inspection routines, and escalation protocols for facilities services.
  • Manage facilities-related incident reporting, corrective actions, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Prepare operational reports, maintenance dashboards, vendor performance updates, and asset performance insights for leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reliability, cost efficiency, sustainability, and service quality across studio assets.

Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Property Management, or related field.
  • Facilities management, asset management, or engineering certification preferred.

Experience

  • 7–10 years of experience in facilities management, technical asset management, property operations, or infrastructure operations.
  • Experience managing complex, asset-intensive, operational, entertainment, production, hospitality, or mixed-use environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting commissioning, operational readiness, and handover from development to operations preferred.

Preferred Background

  • Film studios, entertainment venues, destination assets, real estate operations, hospitality assets, industrial campuses, or technical facilities environments.
  • Experience managing MEP services, technical contractors, site readiness, and service provider performance preferred.

Technical & Functional Expectations

  • Strong knowledge of facilities management, MEP systems, utilities, preventive maintenance, and lifecycle planning.
  • Ability to manage vendors, SLAs, operational risks, inspections, and service continuity requirements.
  • Strong understanding of HSE, compliance, commissioning, handover, and operational readiness processes.
  • Strong reporting, coordination, and issue resolution capability in operational environments.
