Donau Soja ist eine internationale Organisation mit Sitz in Wien, die als gemeinnütziger Verein die europäische Eiweißversorgung auf Basis von nachhaltig und gentechnikfrei angebauten Sojabohnen aus der Donauregion bzw. Europa vorantreibt. Ökologie und Wertschöpfung für alle Beteiligten sind Kernwerte dieses europäischen Projektes, das wesentliche Impulse für eine zukunftsfähige europäische Eiweißversorgung setzt.

Zur Unterstützung unseres Teams suchen wir eine/n engagierte/n studentische/n Mitarbeiter:in mit Interesse an nachhaltiger Landwirtschaft, Lebensmittel- und Umweltstandards.
Die Rolle
Inhaltlich geht es um ein internes Projekt zur Umstellung von unseren Standards. Du unterstützt uns u. a. in folgenden Bereichen:

Donau Soja setzt geförderte Projekte um, darunter die Strategische Partnerschaft mit der Austrian Development Agency (ADA). Diese Position wird teilweise in die Umsetzung von programmbezogenen Zuschussaktivitäten involviert sein.
Donau Soja is an international, non-profit organisation based in Vienna. Donau Soja promotes a GM-free, sustainable and regional protein supply. Hereby, the Donau Soja Standard and its Guidelines comprise the foundation pillars. The Donau Soja Organic Standard has been developed for organic soybean production.
By investing in the cultivation of quality soya, the Danube Region is strengthened. The infrastructure expansion required for creating added value also provides interesting economic perspectives for the region.
Prominent European institutes and organisations support this ambitious initiative. Food retailers, large agricultural trade houses, the animal feed industry, oil mills and numerous processors, as well as environmental organisations such as Greenpeace, Global 2000 and WWF are all members and vital Donau Soja Association contributors. Many agricultural ministers of European countries have demonstrated their support by signing the Donau Soja Declaration. They recognise the urgency for added value in the Danube region, thereby bolstering an independent European supply of protein.
Together with its partners, Donau Soja implements breeding and research projects for GM-free soya seeds and soya plant protection concepts.
Coordinated from Austria, the Donau Soja interlinks the Danube region with new economic perspectives, offering economic opportunities and impulses for all Danube countries, thereby establishing and fostering ecologically sustainable European self-sufficiency. Consumers profit from safe, sustainable, GM-free and regional soya, and animal keepers from long-term security of supply.
The Donau Soja certified soya is from the Danube region and GM-free. Soya farmers comply with EU plant protection regulations and EU (ILO) labour and social standards. Furthermore, their land usage is limited to fields that have already been cultivated for agricultural purposes prior to 1 January 2008 – and are therefore deforestation- and conversion-free.
