Pay Rate: $15 per hour

The teacher assistants involved in the academy will participate in a one-week training, prior to the start of the academy, consisting of mini-lessons on early number, lesson planning, manipulatives, and classroom management. During the academy, the teacher assistants will aid the lead teacher in the classroom and administer small group instruction to 3-5 students. They will monitor student progress, create differentiated station activities, and review assessment data on a weekly basis to prepare for the subsequent week. The teacher assistants will also assume responsibility of delivering whole group instruction at least once during the academy.
