As the home for the Department of Student Activities, the Bill Daniel Student Center [BDSC] or otherwise known as the "heart of the campus," provides a place to relax, study and participate in activities that build an enduring loyalty between members of the Baylor community and to the university itself. The Student Union Operations Assistant providing technical (audio/visual), maintenance, and event support to guests and partners visiting the Bill Daniel Student Center. Student Union Operations Assistants answer phones/questions, guide guests to rooms within the building, monitor trash/cleanliness of building, setup/breakdown meeting spaces, maintain a quality and professional relationship with Housekeeping, and complete other tasks as assigned. Skills developed in this role include oral and written communication skills, learning how to navigate conflict, and exhibiting quality customer service.
Assist in planning, coordinating and helping with events as needed
Deliver excellent customer services to clients and visitors
Provide information and answer inquiries as needed
Assist with various activities and tasks related to events and hospitality services
Ability to comply with University policies
Maintain regular and punctual attendance
Ad Astra experience very welcomed though not required
Provide general office assistance and support
Greet clients and visitors with excellent customer service; answer inquiries and provide information
Maintain files and reports and ensure confidentiality of information
